From what I can gather, problem is with some themes. I am investigating to see if I can fix the problem through the plugin.

Hope you can find a fix soon…my new forum enjoyed this plugin for a short time, but now it doesn’t work and there seems to be no other option for uploading photos to buddypress forums.

    Thanks so much!

Plugin is not supporting bbPress built into BuddyPress. That bbPress has nothing in common with the bbPress 2.0 plugin version.

I don’t use the built-in, but have the bbpress 2.0.2 plugin version that you mentioned.

    Still hoping…

I really can’t find any problems, with multiple themes, embedded with shortcode or not. I also tested with bbPress 2.1, and it is all OK. Do you have any errors logged on your server? Do you use some WP theme that has own bbPress support that is not implemented right?

It’s still not working properly for me. I’m using Simplicity from WooThemes. It doesn’t have built in support for bbPress. I just added a little CSS to get it looking good.

Initially it worked, but it stopped when I made this post a couple of months ago.

I use Suffusion, which has limited support for anything buddypress.

But I figured out this morning that it does work if you are adding a photo to a new topic, just not to replies. So for now, I am just going to announce this limitation to my membership and those who want to upload a photo may start a topic to do so.

Thanks so much for the plugin!

If you have problem with replies only, this could be due to the theme. I have seen some themes that lack all required hooks that plugin needs. Plugin is based on original bbPress bundled theme, and it replies that each theme implements all actions and filters as the original theme does. If that is not the case, I can’t do much to help. Themes need to follow files strucutre as bbPress theme does.

I’m having the same issue as the Original Poster. I tried it with the default bbPress theme and the plugin still won’t work for me.

After a file is chosen and the reply button is pressed, the reply is posted but there is no attachment with the reply.

I’m running WordPress 3.3.2 and bbPress 2.0.2 with default everything.

Plugin works fine with default theme and bunch of other themes. If the upload fails it could be that file you tried is not allowed or over size. Also, make sure you check plugin settings and enable the error logging and display.

I really can’t find anything wrong, and on all my tests it works fine as long as the theme has proper support for bbPress plugin.
