Nice and clean. I like it.
Really nice site. What template did you modify to get the look you have?
MuellerMR … a site in a class all to itself …
Really clean and SHARP …
I am with “smalls” … what did you use as your foundation and would you consider making this theme available …. I have a friend who coaches soccer, and this would work well with him …

Hey guys, thanks for all of the positive feedback 🙂
I didn’t modify any template, this was a from-scratch design that I did for a client. So, as to the making it available idea, probably not going to happen. Perhaps in the future I will release a similar theme, though no promises 🙂
Thanks again for all of the feedback.
hey muellerMR … you did this from scratch ….
is there any way i can contact you and maybe discuss an similar but differnet design for my friend?

It is well designed, but anyone on less than a full 1024 screen will have to sidescroll to see it all.
I don’t know about the text hyperlinks on the sidebar either – white text on a lightish grey gradiant is not the easiest hyperlink colour scheme you’ll find.
You obviously know enough to ‘fix’ those in a jiffy, not that I’m saying its broke.
As far as the design goes, its as good as I’ve seen a basic theme modified.
Looks good, professional. You might add some margin on the bottom of the page.
A couple of questions:
1. What cross-browser problems are you addressing with that javascript?
2. In your stylesheet, you specify:
font-size: 100%; /* Resets 1em to 10px */
Is that comment accurate?
Also (I may be exposing my ignorance here), why do you have:
html, body{
...
}
rather than
body{
...
}
Is this an XHTML thing?
Once again, thanks for the feedback guys.
LiverpoolLad – obviously the page width was a decision we had to make. After examining the current stats for the site we decided to go with a design that catered to users above 800×600. As for the links in the sidebar I find them quite readable, but of course if it becomes an issue it is very easy to fix like you said.
Deko – the javascript is a hack to make transparent PNG images work in IE. I stole the font-size from my own design and believe it is correct, though I ended up defining all font sizes afterwards, so I’m not positive.
Once again thanks for the comments, and DesignPastor I will drop you an e-mail soon.
I look forward to it Mueller …
