Hello,
Was wondering if someone could tell me how to set the archive.php to navigate within just that category rather than navigating by all postings chronologically? For example from the loop if someone clicks on an article in a music review catgory to see the entire posting, the navigation will show the next and prior articles posted chronoligically regardless of what category that posting is in. Can someone offer any tips? Thanks

You can insert category links in your sidebar, I'm not sure of the exact Template tag, but it's on the codex:
