I have installed BuddyPress to my WordPress Blog, but article posting format has been changed. I originally set new posts to show the summary but ever since I installed buddypress, all the articles show (full article). How can change this?

1. Build a bp-default child theme http://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/

2. Copy over index.php from bp-default theme into your bp-default child theme folder http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.4/bp-themes/bp-default/index.php

3. Find and change
<?php the_content( __( 'Read the rest of this entry →', 'buddypress' ) ); ?>
to
<?php the_excerpt( __( 'Read the rest of this entry →', 'buddypress' ) ); ?>

4. Save file.
