Can't add new site to multi

Running WP multi. Before was running 3.04 with three working blogs. Both upgraded wp and migrated to new server. The original 3 blogs are still working. Tried to add a new subdomain blog like the others.

It shows up in the list of sites. I can “edit” it but when I try to go to its dashboard I get “can’t find server” IIRC I don’t have to do anything to DNS to get these sites to work.

On my main dashboard is says I have 3 sites. I should have 4. The new site has a deactivate so I deactivated and reactivated it. Did not change anything. What am I missing? What logs would be useful? What other information can I provide to help fix this?
