• Hi,

I’m using Super Skeleton Theme (uses Option Tree plugin), WP 3.3.1 and the latest All-in-One Event Calendar Plugin.

The Event Calendar plugin seems to be interfering with Option Tree, in that when Event Calendar is activated, Option Tree panels disappear (all options appear together instead of as part of different panels) and Option Tree stops saving my changes.

I found this out after deactivating all of my plugins.

The problem seems to have arisen after the latest Event Calendar update.

  • Do you see any javascript errors in Developer tools?

    Yani,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m a total noob, and don’t really know how all that stuff works. Is Developer tools a plugin? Which one do you recommend?

I just launched the site yesterday, so I’ll probably revert to the previous version of Ai1ec for the time being. I’d be happy to help you take a look at this, but my abilities are rather limited, unfortunately.

I’ll test Option Tree plugin and see what is causing the issue. If reverting to the previous version works for you, do that and I will notify you when this issue is fixed.

I just reported this bug on the AI1EC plugin site. This was driving me nuts because I couldn’t isolate the problem until I deactivated the calendar plugin. Optiontree works flawlessly until that point. It’s got to be a javascript issue… Wish I knew the problem…

the only way around this that I’ve found is to deactivate the All-in-one-calendar plugin, then make my setting changes with OptionTree, then, reactivate the AI1C plugin. The OptionTree settings seem to stick. Very clunky workaround though.

I toyed with that idea for a while (this issue popped up just before I launched my site), and decided it was too troublesome. I tried reverting to the previous version (which works, BTW) but lost all my events data in the process.

I ended up just using a different calendar plugin. There are tons of them in the repository.

    found the error, I think

‘Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘jquery’ of undefined’

@xiefeilaga thanks for your thoughts. which one did you switch to? i’m so bummed because AI1C was one of the best plugins in it’s class… until this

I ended up just using one called “Events”. The drawback is that it lacks a calendar display format, but after toying around with a few calendar ones, I decided I didn’t want that anyway.

Another option is to create a public calendar on gmail and embed it on your calendar page

I’ve had a similar issue – I was not able to edit any settings in Option Tree when All in One Calendar was enabled.

My way around it was to disable the Calendar, make the changes in Option Tree and then enable the calendar again.

yeah Clyde, that’s what I have to do also. I’m just hoping that it can be resolved. Can’t turn it lose to my customers this way…

I’m also having this issue with OptionTree not committing changes while ai1ec is activated. I can deactivate ai1ec, make my changes, and reactivate ai1ec for now.

I’m also having this conflict between OptionTree and All-in-One Event Calendar. My theme requires OptionTree so I am hoping someone find a fix for this!

    Hi there,
can’t do without option-tree yet it is also colliding with js-hotel, which has a calendar
    I have found two errors:

    jQuery.tableDnD is undefined
    /option-tree/assets/js/jquery.table.dnd.js?ver=1.1.8.1
    bind('mousemove', jQuery.tableDnD.mousemove)
    Line 114
    —————————————–
    admin.php
    line 664
    $("#color_highlight1").ColorPicker is not a function
    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=option_tree
    onChange: function (hsb, hex, rgb)

    ——————————————
    WordPress 3.3.2
    Firefox with Firebug installed

    Symptoms:
The design is out of wack.
As soon as I disable the plugin js-hotel, then option-tree works flawless.
Symptoms are: Nivo slides cannot be opened – page does not update without refresh and drag and drop is impossible.

DEBUG button does not work anymore – is dead in admin bar.

    I hope this helps.
Good luck with it – I hate javascript conflicts.
