[Plugin: Viper's Video Quicktags] Best Format for iPad

I am using Viper’s Video Quicktags on this page: http://ct.dallurawebdesign.com/?page_id=49.

It works OK, but I need a better approach.

1) IU’m using Quicktime and all I see is a black screen until I hit play. Is there a way to have the first frame show?

2) The movie does not play on the iPad. I can’t use Flash for the same reason. Can you recommend a format?
