Search box only searching posts?

    Hi,
    Trying to configure the search box to search posts AND search an author page i have created for each registrant to my blog.

    Hence on the page: I want the search box to search old blog posts and the profile pages of each author. How can I do this?

    I’m assuming that these profile pages are Pages within your blog? Try the Search Pages plugin.

    seems to search fine except i am trying to search the profile of each user (i displayed profile info on the author pages) and it is not pulling it in. Is there a plugin to search user profiles?

    to clarify, these pages are not within the blog. it was a separate author.php page loaded up into the theme. Thus, I think this may be the reason why my search function isn’t pulling it in.

    Thanks for the link to the search page plugin. Just saved my butt.

    One has to wonder why the built-in search only searches posts 🙁

    I#Ve exactly the same problem. There are a lot of author-pages with a separate author.php-template.

    The search does not include this profile-inputs. But it should. :-/

    Any ideas??
