I was wondering if you would be able to recreate your old database if you have your old wordpress files but no back-up? I forgot to backup my database but now I am left with my old files but my entries are lost.

No, the post content is entirely in the database. It's not in the wordpress files. Well, there might be some in the cache directory, but not all of it, and it won't be complete.

I switched my domain and all my files are deleted. I did backup my wordpress files, but that's just it, I didn't back up my database!

Is there a way to create from scratch?

If your pages are in google's cache, or other caches, you can sometimes go painfully through and grab post text and such. But if you lose your DB, that's all your post data, user data, comments, config, etc.

Try various URLs and formats, eg with/without the http:// or www etc, and bear in mind that you can't just click on links, you have to enter their URLs into the bit that says "your-site-url" above, every time.

Add this to strip images etc: &strip=1

    Also: http://www.archive.org/

That's a project that's trying to save the content of the entire internet forever. It's a massive project, actually, and works a fair bit of time but when I tried it just now it said the server was taking too long to respond.

Well I tried the different variations and no such luck. I guess I'll just have to start all over again. Thanks for the help. If there's another way please let me know. THANK YOU!

What's your URL? I'll see if there's anything to be done...
