Is it possible to arrange posts in this manner?

    I’d like for the latest 4 posts (chronologically) to appear as excerpts at the top of the blog home page and for those to change each time a new post is added. The excerpt would need to have a link to the full article. A bit like newspaper style articles.

    Is there way of doing this in WP?

    Do you have a blog or are we talking here only theoretically?
    If you have one, you shoulg know that on the main page of the blog the posts “change” whenever you add a new post = newest on the top.

    Set your Options > Reading to 4 posts
    Edit your index.php (in the theme folder) and replace the_content tag with the_excerpt
    The title is a link to the full article

    You are good to go.
