  • FancyBox works with the URL you give it. So when you insert a thumbnail and link it to the original full size version of the image, that’s what the box will be showing. My plugin cannot change that. But you can: just change the URL to reflect the medium size variant (for example) that WordPress made during upload…

    These sizes are defined on your Settings > Media admin page above the FancyBox section. To find the url, insert the image again but this time choose one of the other sizes like Medium and then look in the HTML tab and copy the URL from src=”…this is the URL you need…” then go back to the View tab and replace the URL of the full size image that the thumbnail is linked to with this Medium size URL. After that, delete that medium sized image you inserted before and then save the post.
