Sub Domains

    I administer a sports club site which is working satisfactory using wordpress.
    The Club Executive are now planning to administer a regional championship event and want an associated site to advertise the event and receive registrations.

    If I setup a sub-domain would I need to install another copy of wordpress and database, or, could I somehow integrate it with my current installation?
