Plugin: Category Subsciptions – How to set default subscriptions?

    We’ve just started using WordPress for internal communication and have the category subscription plugin activated. Is it possible to create default subscription settings where:

    1) All users get immediate notification of one particular category (Staff Announcements for example) by default. Ideally they could change the frequency but could not unsubscribe from this category.

    2) All users get a weekly digest of all the latest posts by default but can change the frequency and/or subscribed categories (Digest will send one email containing all the subscribed categories, right?)

    If possible, how can these defaults be set automatically for users? If not possible, is there a plugin that allows this? It would be great. Thank you.
