• I want to build a website about lets say technology. I need to have the following main categories: News(laptops, desktops, software etc..) Reviews(laptops, desktops, software…) How-To’s(laptops, desktops, software) and maybe one or two more other main categories.

Do you think it is better to do this the old fashioned way with News,Reveiews and How-To’s being the parent categories and laptops, hardware, software as subcategories each in it’s own parent category.

    OR

Make custom posts for News, Reviews, How-To’s and then add a custom taxonomy inside for laptops, desktops, software. This way the same taxonomy can be used for all custom posts. For example displaying all posts from software will display news, reviews and how-to’s.

Which one would be the better and why?

Why doesn’t anybody ever answer to my threads?? Have I done something wrong? Is this too advanced to be asked here? What is the matter? What should I do to get answers by the wordpress community? I think this question is a common one and everyone thought about it. I know everybody has a tight schedule, but no answer on any thread??

Maybe I should take my problems elsewhere..
