[Plugin: BuddyPress Groups Extras] Textarea meta box doesn't save formatting

Hello,

Just working out the best way to use the textarea (multi-line) box for Groups Extras tab meta. Any way to apply the wysiwyg to that similar to the new page? My Theme doesn’t allow for custom post types very well so using the textarea is my only option. Thank you.
