• I keep getting recurring 404 page not found errors on post pages on my website, (www.socialwarriors.co.uk), that are only resolved by me changing the permalink format, with it then being OK for perhaps a couple of hours and then it again starts throwing 404 page not found errors on post pages until I again change the format of the permalinks.

It’s the same with archive pages although static pages are OK.

Has anybody got any idea what can be causing this and how I can resolve it ?

    Best wishes,

  • Have you checked to see if the .htaccess file in the WordPress root folder is being corrupted?

I’ve downloaded my current .HTACCESS file and when it happens again I’ll check to see if it’s changed.

Can you tell me what would be causing the .HTACCESS file to get corrupted please.

    Best wishes,

Impossible for us to say really. It can happen sometimes to the best of hosts but, if it’s happening that regularly to you, then it suggests that the server/hosts have problems.
