• In Firefox, the sidebar of my blog is positioned properly, but in IE the sidebar moved down. I noticed this only happened when I started posting more entries.

My theme was based on the default Kubrick one.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

  • this happens to me as well…certain posts/comments appear, and it shifts my sidebar underneath the data…

my temporary solution: to adjust the name/length of the post and comment and it apparantly works…I just try hard not to comprimise the content with the minor changes…

    doesn’t help much, but alas..

Sidebar shifts are usually caused by certain posts. Identify which post it is and delete it or edit it so you dont get the problems reoccurring. If you can remember when it slipped first, then that may indicate which post caused the slip.

is there a way to change the number of entries in a page? I guess that works, too, right?

then again the sidebar shifts in my pages, too. not only in my entries.

A quick search would show you hundreds of posts here about sidebar and IE and sinking/going down etc.
And the answer is always the same:

It is always the fault of the user: putting an image, a long code line, a long link… anything that is wider than the area for content or the than the sidebar.
