• I spent a few weeks building a site in the /wordpress sub-directory off the root. Before I launched the site I set the site URL to the root directory and left the content in /wordpress.

I submitted the site to google, set-up google analytics and SEO enabled the site.

When I search for the site using google I get references to the /wordpress sub-directory and 404 page not found errors. In many cases I get the proper index to the root pages.

Does having the content in a sub-directory and the site URL in the root directory create a problem for Google indexing?
