• I can’t seem to access my blog. Just wanted to check if Yahoo was down or if I was the only one with problems.

  • Has the blog worked in the past? Then you might contact Yahoo first.

My WP blog via Yahoo is down too … last night it wasn’t accessible online at all, today just the posting back end is inaccessible … I’ve sent e-mail to Yahoo! but they’ve responded like … hmm … molasses in the past. Hope this gets fixed soon. Does WP have any clout to bug them?

    Not really.
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/72286?replies=68 is from just a couple weeks ago.

That was when they were removed from http://wordpress.org/hosting/

It’s back up now, but I am getting really getting frustrated with Yahoo.

It works very slooow now 🙁

I can understand your frustration and pain when the site is down – but if it is because of a host (no matter which host) it just doesn’t make sense to post in the WP forum.
Send 1,000 emails to the host… call their toll-free number every 10 minutes… or something like that, to wake them up 🙂

Happening again, very early Monday 5/22 morning.
I understand that it’s Yahoo’s problem, not WordPress’s, but am posting again here just to publicly note it.
Guess I will be in the market for a new host.

Ah that’s such a load of crap. The Yahoo MySQL servers have been “down” for a very long time. A couple months ago I was doing some work for a lady hosting on Yahoo and their MySQL was in the tubes even then.

I recommend you switch hosting ASAP

i saw a post some time back by “******” when some people were discussing Yahoo and other possible hosts, and i have not seen any from him/her in some time, but i did just go their site and it looks like they have some really good plans that are reasonable.

ONE more transgression and you will be blocked from these forums.
