if you are talking about the meta title, then follow @ragzor’s suggestion – or look for a similar plugin;
if you are talking about whatever title text is shown at the top of your site (which ususally comes from ‘dashboard – settings – general – site title’), then consider using custom fields:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Fields
(you could also use custom fields in the first case)
@alchymyth I think that is what I want as I need the visitor to see a different title for a different post when they visit the website.
Could you give me an example of how to change the blog title with custom fields?
you could use the get_post_meta() syntax shown on alchymyth’s link within your <title></title> tag i guess i havn’t done it before but i think this is the way it works
reading the guide will explain it 😀
@ragzor and alchymyth
Fixed the problem. I had earlier used this code from
http://www.wprecipes.com/how-to-redifine-title-tag-with-a-custom-field
but it didn’t work because I had used the code within the <title>, when atually the blog title falls under the <h1>. Once I put it under the <h1> it worked perfectly.
thanks.
