Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I’m just curious about the keyword tool with google. I’ve been using it for a while, I’m curious what others think. My first question is does double dipping work? For example, if a keyword phrase “Chicken Wraps” had 50k monthly searches, and “Healthy Chicken Wraps” had 100K monthly searches, by using healthy chicken wraps instead, would you be including those people searching for just “chicken wraps?”

Also, whats the minimum global monthly searches that you usually go for for a keyword? I know you want the ones with low competition…

Any other advice for google’s keyword tool?

  • One positive thing of long tail key phrases that contain shorter key phrases within it, is that you can target both of them in one phrase.

So in your example – ‘Healthy Chicken Wraps’ would be targeting both ‘Healthy Chicken Wraps’ and ‘Chicken Wraps’. It does not guarantee you will rank for both phrases but you are targeting both of them.
