WP database corrupted?

I am hosting my domain and wordpress site by a webhoster and for some reason I believe our WordPress database got corrupted. Last week I suspected the same thing and I deleted all and started from scratch with a new installation of wordpress and all plugins and configuration which took me half a day. Now suddenly I got similar issues again, like the button bar disappears only on the home page but when I deactive a 5 star trustworthy plugin (meetup) then the button bar shows on the homepage. If I use my demo-site (on a different and slow server), the button bar never disappears, so I am wondering is there a way to reset wordpress without starting from scratch, can I delete entries in the wp_options table and will wordpress regenerate the missing entries.
