Recommend an easy plugin for image gallery with text

Twice a month I post a list of forthcoming books on our library’s website. I’d like to find an easy and elegant way to have my list displayed with thumbnail images of the book covers, the book information, and a link to our library catalog to request the book. OpenBook works great for other uses, but the book data in Open Library is not available for the forthcoming titles when they are first announced. I do have access to cover images for most titles, and publication data for all titles. I’ve tried using NextGen Gallery by creating a gallery with the images for a particular list of books, but it turns out to be cumbersome for this purpose, and I can’t seem to display the book data with the images, despite using custom fields. WP Tables Reloaded is also very tedious. Any ideas of a plugin that would make formatting this kind of data easier? BTW, I retrieve the raw book data by importing a csv file from our vendor, and adding html in an spreadsheet to supply the links back to our library catalog. If there is a plugin that will easy work with a csv file or table, while incorporating images, that might do the trick. Any help would be appreciated.
