[Plugin: Search Regex] replacing widget content

I am using the Weaver Theme which allows me to insert a top widget area which is specific to the page it is inserted on. This I find very useful because it allows me to insert in this widget 2 sets of content, (1) descriptive type content which is specific to that page only and (2) general content which is repeated on numerous pages.

I want to be able to update the general content on all applicable pages using search/replace techniques and Search Regex appears to be the tool for the job, however I am unsure how to do this.

Looking at the source drop down menu there is no provision for widgets. I tried setting Post Content as the source but this didn’t work.

Is there any other way I can do this?
