[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] How to know if the Cache Preload is working ?

Hello,

I enabled the Cache Preload (default settings), coupled with Google XML Sitemaps. But if I load my site, it’s very slow, and become fast at the second load. So I’d like to know:
– how to know if the Cache Preload is working ?
– if it’s not working, how to make it work ?

PS: I’m on shared hosting, and my XML if working fine.

For me this is the solution.

Backup your PgCacheAdmin.php file, try it and share your experience on the topic.

OK I’ll try it tonight and get back to the topic for feedback. However, how do you know if it has been precached ?

The folder /wp-content/w3tc/pgcache/ should be filled with files when every else is configured correctly.

It’s unfortunately not working… The pgcache folder is filled only when someone is loading the site, but not automatically via the preload Cache 🙁

You should give Crone Jobs some time to process everything. My advice; make the adjustments and let is go for a day to see the result.

Yes they do. You’ll know if preload is working if your wp-content/w3tc/pgcache/ starts to fill up with pages in the order your sitemap file lists them.
