• I’ve got a navigation menu that is exactly the same as twenty eleven’s and when I parent my about us page under home it shows up in my navigation bar but not as a drop down just another link. If I set any other page to be the parent this doesn’t happen? Anyone know how to fix this or get around it? Thanks

  • Are you using wp_lists_pages?

No, I’m using wp_nav_menu. The theme I’m trying to build is a child of twenty eleven. I chose a different page to be my front page in the admin and it becomes a drop down, switch it back to home and it separates the child items from the parent.

I’m having the exact same problem. Adding a page as a child of the page set as ‘front page’ in reading settings does not add it in the menu as expected.

The page menu does not recognise the child relationship and puts the page to the end of the navigation list, and not within a <ul class=”children” as you would expect.

    WP 3.2.1

Is it possible to have a drop-down from a home page button, or should i just update to 3.3?
