New clean install but missing default header images

Hi

I have just made a clean install of WP3.3.1 with 2011 Theme.
All has gone well except the header images are not displayed in Internet Explorer.
They DO seem to display correctly in Firefox.

I cannot understand why the problem. Anyone got any ideas?

By the way when looking at the header.php code with my FTP software I noticed one ‘seemingly relevent’ line was showing in red.
I dont know whether this is relevent or – if you’ll excuse the pun – is a red herring.

I do not understand the code so excuse my clutching at straws..
