Simple and Advance control under the Writing Options missing

    Hi All,

    The simple and advance control under the Writing Options tab are missing. I also cannot set the categories when a writing a post. According to the document, I should see a Categories check box in the upper right hand when writing a post. This check box is missing as well. I’m using WordPress 2.0.2 and it was installed by my provider. Thanks.

    Simple and advance control? Not sure what that is! It sounds like someone has referred you to whether or not you use the WYSIWYG editor or whether you write your entires using HTML. This option is under the User options for each user.

    For the Categories, you have to click the plus icon to expand the Categories selection so that you can view the categories first – otherwise it’ll appear as if no check-boxes are there.

    Version 2.x does not have the different simple/advanced.
    That was left behind in 1.5.x

    Perhaps. Look at wp-admin/sidebar.php It seems to be what was once called Basic Post. Dan
