• Hey all!

Just noticed in the last few days that Google seems to be indexing my RSS feeds instead of the blog posts, and the URL it seems to index has this after the end of the usual URL: ?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=

I had a read around and some tips on adding a disallow to the robots file, which I did, but I’m not sure if it’s correct or working.

I’m using xml-sitemap generator which produced a virtual robots file and my WordPress installation is in a sub-directory called ‘blog’

Here’s what I added to the robots file in the root of the site.

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /blog/*/feed/$
    Disallow: /blog/*/feed/rss/$
    Allow: /
