thanks for the link., is there a way to inform google such that my seo wouldn’t hurt?
FIle the complaint at Google’s Copyright Removal page. This will notify them to the content duplication, and, with your provided information, assure them that you are the original author. They will de-index the sites with the stolen content in response, though, so you may lose the back links, but will maintain your SEO standings.
Hope this helps!
It won’t hurt your SEO. Google’s freakishly smart about this.
ISW,
These answers were great however, they fail to point out two things:
First – If your site was indexed by Google it was crawled by BOTS. Bots are BRILLIANT and know where the original source of the article originated. Filing a complaint with Google is a complete waste of time.
Next – Focus more on creating great content than trying to fight off thieves and robbers. The fact is, over the lie of your website, many will steal your posts and clip images and use them.
Again – Search BOTS know where the articles originated. You will not be punished 🙂
Hi – FYI to Forum Members:
I see that http://kidsfoodallergiesblog.com has an wordpress theme – HeatMapTheme.com
I am writing this forum to let you all know that I had to file a DMCA Complaint against him because he is an article thief.
Here is the article he stole from me – 1 of them:
http://kidsfoodallergiesblog.com/?p=307
Here is my site link where he stole it from:
http://breakfastgiftbaskets.net/breakfast-gift-baskets-big-on-breakfast-gift-ideas/
And my Ezine Article link – Also where he stole my article from:
http://ezinearticles.com/?Breakfast-Gift-Baskets—Big-on-Breakfast-Gift-Ideas!&id=3549469
As you can see, this is a blatant example of article theft. I can’t stand a thief.
Since he is an article thief, I also contacted his advertisers and hosting site and will be delighted to give him some free publicity on social media.
An honorable business person would delete this kind of person from their pool of affiliates lest they be linked to a dishonorable thief.
Thank you,
