Multiple Sidebars

I need to implement a different sidebar for each page. I do not want to call a different template for each page. I would rather like to code it to where I call different sidebar templates all from one template. I also want to include the child pages.
For example
About Us-parent
Our Staff-child
History-child
All call one sidebar.

Then For example
Connect-parent
Podcasts-child
Watch Live-child
Call another sidebar.

I have tried a few plugins without success. I would need to know exactly how to write the call, as well as if any info needs to be added to the functions.php file. I am a designer not a programmer so as much detail as possible would be much appreciated!!
