• I’m running wordpress 2.0.2, and when I use the bookmarklet to create a post, I get something which looks like this:

    Title: Wired2014.053A20The20Next20Green20Revolution<br />
    Post: <a href="http3A2F2Fwww.wired.com2Fwired2Farchive2F14.052Fgreen.html">Wired2014.053A20The20Next20Green20Revolution</a>

(Hmm, the actual code for the post is showing up as a link here, and I can’t get it to change to what it really shows…putting the &lt; and &gt; symbols doesn’t work. The href address for the above URL looks like this: http3A2F2Fwww.wired.com2Fwired2Farchive2F14.052Fgreen.htm)

Any idea what’s going on? I’d sometimes get this problem with certain sites when using wordpress 1.5, but that was the exception. Now it’s happening all the time and it’s quite annoying. The bookmarklet is supposed to make things easier, not more difficult!

And yes, I did replace the bookmarklet in the bookmarks bar when upgrading wordpress. I’m on a mac using safari.

  • This happens only when you have to log in before. just try it again after you have been logged in.

hey – cool – I had the same problem and it took me quite a while on the wordpress.org-website, to find this easy solution. This should be part of the FAQ-Troubleshooting!

without PRESS IT wp-blogging is like walking instead of flying …
