[Plugin: Visual Form Builder] help!! getting blank emails :(

    Hi 😉

    been using the wonderful visual-form-builder on various sites, never had any serious issues with it at all… it’s my favourite 🙂

    until now – setting this up on a teaching site – to be used for students to submit projects… and I cannot see why it’s going so wrong… 🙁

    here’s the link to my form:

    Everything is working fine up to a point:
    – validation works
    – file upload seems ok
    – submit works fine

    but I receive empty emails – “this message has no content” my email app tells me…
    The confirmation email sends the text I specify, but though I set it to send a copy of the form data – nothing comes through there either… 🙁

    I’ve deactivated all other plugins, to see if there’s a clash – same result 🙁
    I’ve deleted my initial version (thought I saw the folder for languages spelt incorrectly) – downloaded latest version again, uploaded – activated – nothing, same again 🙁
    Even went back to an older version of the plugin, just in case… nope 🙁 still no joy… 🙁

    looked at the DB – not sure what I should see there, so here are a few screenshots, just in case:

    the fields and forms are there as well and seem ok…….

    about to give up on this now,…. 🙁
    tried a few more times to install plugin again, created various new forms – all with the same result….

    anyone have any suggestions at all for me? I really like this plugin and would love to use it for this site – but don’t know what else to do…?! HELP….

    Sorry you are having trouble. You said this works fine on other sites but not this one? Are those other sites on a different server?

    Matthew, yes, that is what’s baffling me….

    I’ve used the plugin on a number of client sites – using my server as dev server, to get sites setup, themes completed, plugins configured and so on… then move onto client server. So I’ve always used my server first – and everything was fine – even when sites were then ported over to some odd hosting, some issues with other bits – but never the visual form builder.

    Now this site – is one of my domains, on my server again… and it’s not working… no idea what it could be…

    Could it have something to do with the latest WP update at all?
    I’ve not yet done my rounds of updating my client sites to v3.3.1, so they’re all v3.3 at the moment (visualFormBuilder working fine) – and now I’m reluctant to do the upgrade, in case this is the issue… could that be the case?

    That is the only thing I can think of as the only difference here is that this site (eyelearn.org) is the only one I’ve updated to v3.3.1 so far – and is the one where I’m getting the blank emails…!?

    just to report back — I’m up and running with this now 😉 YAY 🙂 🙂
    tried a few different options – but nothing was as nice to use as the wonderful visual-form-builder!!

    So I decided NOT to give up and do the whole trouble shooting approach again, deleting plugin once more, table cleared from DB, etc… etc… and it worked! 🙂
    Not sure what caused this odd problem but just happy I’m back to normal with it now … phew 😉
