Comment Numbering

    I’d like to show the comment IDs on each entry I post.

    Showing the comments the way I want is no big deal, but the problem arises with the actual numbers. The first number on one article is 8.

    How can I get it to start numbering all over again for each entry?

    I’m confused. Do you want to number by the comment id or the sequential comment number for that post? By what you’re saying, 8 seems to be the actual comment id in the comments table, which means that if you want the former, 8 is what it should display. If you want the latter, then the usual way to do that is to present the comments as an ordered list.
