• Hey, I can’t upload any pics or vidoes to my blog anymore. It’s a selfhosted blog that runs on WP 3.2 and everytime I try uploading there’s this error message:

Die hochgeladene Datei konnte nicht nach /…/…/…/…/wp-content/uploads/2012/01 verschoben werden

    which means something like:
The uploaded file could not be moved to /…/…/…/…/wp-content/uploads/2012/01

Yesterday everything was fine, than today it first said, that the directory “/…/…/…/…/wp-content/uploads/2012/01” could not be created because of some missing rights to write on the sever so I corrected the rights and created the directory manually and now it says that the files cannot be moved into this directory.
Any ideas as to why this doesn’t work? Some problem because I’m still using the older version? Because it’s just that blog, the others work well…

Just loaded version 3.3 and now there comes this:

Warning: copy(/…/…/…/…/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/….jpg) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /…/…/…/…/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 348
    2373

But what’s the needed permission setting on file.php??? It’s set on 775 at the moment, so I really don’t now why WP gets this “permission denied” error…

*nix system I assume, based on the forward slashes… So I would double check the permissions on the …./uploads/ folder. This will need write perms for others.

To repeat: the uploads folder permissions need to be changed, not the file.php file. ( that file just contains the method that moves the files from temp to uploads )

Set the perms of the uploads folder to 777, then try.
