  • I have purchased about a dozen themes from them. Some are great, some aren’t – it all depends upon the author. If you see a theme there that you like, I recommend reading the comments to get a feel for how responsive the author is, and if numerous people are having the same problems.

I looked at the free themes, but I was just looking for some fancier themes, that’s all. I haven’t seen any bad reviews on ThemeForest and I was wondering if it truly is that good. A few people have been warning me about possible malicious code in the themes, and since I’m so security conscious, I was on the fence about seriously considering or purchasing ThemeForest themes.

There are some attractive themes on ThemeForest, however the quality of their coding and the quality of support (if any) can vary a lot. Some good, some terrible. Themes from ThemeForest are cheap, and you typically get what you pay for. There are better places to purchase commercial / premium WordPress themes.
