How do I create bookmarks?

Hi. I need to make links within single posts – bookmarks. I want to use links at the top of the post to link to information lower down in the post. How do I do that? I am hoping there are tools to do this as I am not that experienced with coding. And reading the existing info on ‘linking,’ none of it uses terminology that I am familiar with….permalinks, etc? None of that meant anything to me.

I’ve been able to make links to other posts within the blog, what I need to know how to do is ‘tag’ content within the post so that it is recognized as a bookmark.
