Why is 6scan being reported (in log files) as associated with compromised servers that appear to be hosting hackers?

Hi dancallaghan,
Unfortunately, that happens occasionally. In order to scan your site for security vulnerabilities, our scanner performs actions similar to what a hacker would do -- only that our scanner will never use a vulnerability it finds against you like a hacker would. Occasionally, some services will confuse our scanner with an actual hacker and add us to blacklists.
We will contact IPillion to have the listing removed. However, rest assured that the listing is due to confusion and we are not hosting hackers on our servers.
