[Plugin: Custom Author URL] Breaks the user edit page for subscribers and non-admins

    I just updated to the latest build of this plugin and I’ve noticed quite a huge error: the edit profile page is rendered useless for anyone that isn’t an admin. If the user can’t see the author slug field, they get an error when submitting the form:

    ERROR: An author slug cannot be blank. Please try again.

    Is there a way to disable this check? I want this to remain an admin feature, but currently it’s getting in the way of my normal users. Any ideas?
