I can't find the answer to this question and I'm sure it's out there. The problem I'm having after installing to a sub-directory is that the .sql DB file I'm using from the previous root installation points to that directory for all the inhouse WordPress links.

To fix this you only have to change the site_url and home values in the DB's options table.
For moving there probably is a guide at Moving_WordPress.
