New Page not showing up – just shows blog postings

I’m having trouble with the “Pages” feature of WordPress 2.0.2. I just created a brand new page – http://marc.abramowitz.info/emacs/ but when I go to that URL, it just brings up my blog postings; not the page.

Earlier in the week I had some problems with some of my older pages not working and returning a message “no posts matching your criteria”. I inserted some debug statements in the code and it looked like there was something weird going on where WordPress wasn’t recognizing the URL as a page; it thought it was an attachment and was rewriting the URL as such. It appeared that it might have something to do with the ordering of items in the page_uris preference in the wp_options database table, but I’m not sure. Later I somehow got lucky and I was able to solve it by editing and saving the pages and their parent page.

Here’s the contents of my page_uris. It’s curious that there is duplication of some of the entries in there. Also note that “emacs” is present.
