WP Domain Mapping: Cannot change IP address.

This is a problem that has been talked about here.

I am somewhat “re-posting” this issue since it was marked [Resolved].

The problem is that after updating to WP 3.3 the domain mapping options do not get updated after pressing the “save” button. In the topic in the above link the issue of checkboxes not saving is resolved using development version of the plugin available here:

“A name” record can be saved as well.

However this fix is not working for the change of IP address. When I enter a new IP address into the filed and press “save” the IP is reverted back to the original one.

I don’t know if I made a mistake during the development version install or if it could be fixed in any way.
