    I’ll need a URL to be able to help you. Probably your theme is f*cking up.

    Hi Joost, thanks for your reply. Here it is: http://topdogsocialmedia.com/

    As expected, your theme has this:

    <meta name="description" content="" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="Kelowna social media marketing, social media marketing, kelowna social media, social advertising, kelowna facebook, kelowna twitter, kelowna rss, kelowna youtube, kelowna linkedin" />

    Above the output of my plugin, throw that out of your header.php or wherever it is and it should be better.

    I stripped those out and it was still using the tag line. So in the Titles section of the configuration I used %%excerpt%% in the Meta description template and now it’s working. Thanks.

    Glad it’s resolved.

    Hello Mr. Joost de Valk – I am struggling with a similar issue. I believe I have stripped out all the theme code but am not very expert with this stuff.

    this is an example of a page with a meta description written in your plug in tool. http://consiliumglobalbusinessadvisors.com/who_consilium_global/us/principals/ed_marsh/

    this is how the plugin titles page is set
    Page
    Title template:%%title%%
    Meta description template:%%excerpt%%
    Meta keywords template:

    Hello

    Same sort of thing, I believe.

    Would you strip out this script which sits just above the title <title><?php wp_title(”); ?></title>?

    <head profile=”http://gmpg.org/xfn/11″&gt;
    <meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”<?php bloginfo(‘html_type’); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo(‘charset’); ?>” />
    <meta name=”show-menu-auto-arrows” content=”<?php echo ($purevision_options[‘show_menu_auto_arrows’]) ? 1 : 0; ?>” />
    <meta name=”show-menu-drop-shadows” content=”<?php echo ($purevision_options[‘show_menu_drop_shadows’]) ? 1 : 0; ?>” />

    <title><?php wp_title(”); ?></title>

    My site is French and English using WPML and I’m having a heck of a time trying to get Google search results to work properly.

    Many thanks!

    I am having the same problem the plugin (great plugin by the way)

    I’m not blaming the plugin, just not sure what to do to correct it.

    Sharing to Facebook will grab the correct Title, but the description from the post always seems to grab my info from the homepage.

    URL: http://ebsolo.com/site/a-case-of-deceit-movie-trailer/ (this URL is from a Post)

    Would love it if you could suggest a fix. thank you very much

    Hilarious. I fixed it within seconds of posting my support request.

    No help needed. Sorry for wasting time and bandwidth here!

    Hello Joost,

    I am working on http://www.thepromoverse.com, and when i insert my “meta description” in your meta field for yoast SEO i am not seeing the correct meta on google search engine with any of my pages I’ve edited with your plugin. I am not sure what i am doing wrong but the pages are pulling other meta descriptions to display on google searches instead of my pre assigned ones.

    Any wisdoom, im pulling my hair out over here.

    Thanks,

    Steven

    Hi Joost,

    I’ve recently switched over from the All In One SEO to your WordPress SEO plugin and it is great, seemless and simple to follow. I am though a bit lost with an issue.

    I have selected the Social options for Twitter and Facebook Open Graph, but cannot see the meta data added to the header to Twitter Cards and Open Graph use.

    I tested this with Twitter Cards testing tool and got the following error message:

    Fetcher response code: OK
    MISSING_TAG: twitter:title

    The domain is: http://www.twofourseven.co.uk.

    Thanks! 🙂

    @twofourseven,

    I notice you got this to work in the end. How did manage? Looking at your source I don’t see the twitter:title tag anywhere?
