Seems like when using a per-page sidebar on a parent page, it also takes effect on all sub-pages. Can this behavior somehow be controlled so this can indeed be “inherited” or not…

It was a deliberate choice to make it inherit. I could possibly add an option so that it doesn’t in version 2.1. I’ll consider it.
