Twenty Ten remove sidebar and stretch text

So following a post on here I removed '<?php get_sidebar() ?>' from page.php and index.php

so far so good, however I haven’t decided if I only want the bar removed for the index page. ANYWAYS

however http://www.the-now-watch.com is still not stretching across the page over the dead area where the widgets bar was

What am i missing?
