[Plugin: Facebook Comments Importer] Import timing out

    I keep getting different versions of this error message (based on whichever website is causing the import to time out):

    Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to occupy-northpole.com:80 (Connection timed out) in /home/knightop/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/facebook-comments-importer/fbci-utils.php on line 19

    It seems like if I link to ANYTHING (any website) in a blog post, it causes this plugin to time out, so I’ve gotten ZERO comments to import from Facebook ever. This is extremely frustrating. Is this plugin ever going to work? Is there a solution? Please let me know! Thanks.

    I’m having a problem as well. It started yesterday.

    I’ve been running this plug-in for months now and love it, and have several comments that have NOT been imported for the past day or so.

    When I try “manual import” it runs for a while and comes back “importation successful” with nothing imported.

    It’s showing that the comments are there and the blog is successfully linked but nothing is working.

    Please assist! I totally depend on this plug-in.
