   Hi there,

   I have created a custom page template. Named it "gal_new_work.php". Included it in my default theme folder. I have the template name comment at the top as is required. When I choose to manage a page it gives me the option to change the template and the new template does indeed show up as a selection. However when it is chosen it never uses the custom template it always reverts to the index template. With one exception; The home page works like a dream. It will use the custom page template I created without any problems. I have been trying to scan through to see what differences there are between my home page and other pages but so far can only find one main one. I am using the Static Front Page plugin (http://www.semiologic.com/software/static-front/)
   And I can't help but wonder if this is playing some role... There is nothing mentioned in their support forum that I can find to help as far as I can see.

   If anyone has any suggestions or tips I would really appreciate it.

   Thanks for replying however this document isn't any help to me. I know the hierarchy and this site isn't following it.

   I ended up having to re-install the blog and it started working... I am guessing some file was corrupted or something...
