Multiple menus to support bi-lingual sites

    What is most effective way to add alternate menus to a site?

    I intend to add a language toggle and make my site bi-lingual. So if the language toggle button is clicked it will direct to the page mirror in the alternate language and switch menus so the user can navigate directly to the other pages in their preferred language.

    I am currently using Twenty Ten theme and it says it only allows one menu. Are there other themes that make this easier or will it require more advanced technique?

    I suppose this could be done with multiple installs of wordpress on different sub-directories then reference back and forth…

    But I guess there might be some themes or other add-on that accomplish same function in simpler fashion?
