Default Avatar not working…Gravatar is…

Hoping someone here can help me.

I’m trying to get my avatars to be one default image. I don’t allow people to register and so I want everyone’s to be the same.

Here is what the Avatar area looks like under USERS:

and here is what it looks like under Discussion:

as you can see I tried installing and using the following plugin to fix the issue : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-new-default-avatar/

All this plugin seemed to do was make the default avatar show up in the “Recent Comments” area of the dashboard. Yet on the actual comment on the site Gravatars are still being used….even if I change it to another item in Discussion, it still shows Gravatars…

This is driving me nuts because the images used don’t fit in with my site at ALL!
