[Plugin: Robots Meta] disabling date based archives question about redirect

I’ve disabled date archvies with this plugin, and was wondering if there is a way to change things so that instead of a 301 redirect, it produces a 404 instead?
I have people constantly scanning my archives, and I’d like them to get a 404 instead of a redirect… maybe they’ll go away sooner!
